Festival of twelve Italian films in Rabat

The Italian Cultural Institute in Rabat and the Hiba Foundation, in association with Rai Cinema, organised the “New Italian Cinema by Rai Cinema” Festival. Starting in May, the film festival will run until December 2022 and screen twelve Italian films at the Cinema Renaissance in Rabat.

The films featured are of very high quality, conquering both the Italian public and juries from the most important international film festivals, with accolades given to script writers, actresses and more especially the many professionals “behind the cameras” such as costume designers, set designers, sound track composers and film editors.

The Festival shall feature the following films: “Ennio” by Giuseppe Tornatore; “Le sorelle Macaluso” (the Macaluso Sisters) by Emma Dante; “Il bambino nascosto” (the Hidden Child) by Roberto Andò; “Il buco in testa” by Antonio Capuano; “Ezio Bosso. Le cose che restano” by Giorgio Verdelli; “Welcome Venice” by Andrea Segre; “Comedians” by Gabriele Salvatores; “A Chiara” by Jonas Carpignano; “Il buco” by Michelangelo Frammartino; “Est” by Antonio Pisu; “La macchina delle immagini di Alfredo C.” di Roland Sejko; “Lovely boy” by Francesco Lettieri.
