The Italian Embassy in Algeria and the Italian Cultural Institute in Algiers, in collaboration with the Algerian Ministry of Culture and Arts, will inaugurate the exhibition “Universo Olivetti. La comunità come utopia” on 16 July. The exhibition, which shall remain open to the general public at the Palais de la Culture ‘Moufdi Zakaria’ in Algiers until 31 December, will feature four main thematic sections: Factory, Culture and Image, City and Politics, and Society. Each section is developed following an interdisciplinary approach and illustrated through a wide range of graphics, original documents and reproductions.
The exhibition, set up by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in collaboration with Fondazione MAXXI and Fondazione Adriano Olivetti, is curated by Pippo Ciorra for MAXXI and by Francesca Limana and Matilde Trevisani for Fondazione Adriano Olivetti, and supported by Olivetti S.p.A. (Main Sponsor) and Translated (Sponsor). The material of the exhibition mainly comes from the archives of the Adriano Olivetti Foundation and the Olivetti Historical Archive Association.
