The “blucinQue” dance-theatre company will represent Italy at the 13th edition of the Montréal Complètament Cirque (7 July – 17 July 2022). The show, called “Vertigine di Giulietta” and promoted by the Italian Culture Institute in Montréal, is scheduled for 13 July and is about flight, loss of balance, oscillation, tension, and love displacement, with a work of research on movement and the composition among dance-theatre, text, live music, and circus disciplines.

The “blucinQue” company, founded by the choreographer and director Caterina Mochi Sismondi, has always been engaged in a research and merging project that integrates dance-theatre, live music, contemporary circus, embracing and embodying suggestions and expressive resources from different disciplines and languages, ranging from the more properly performing arts to literature, cinema, visual art. Central in the work of creation there are the themes of “being out of place”, of continuous displacement, identity, limit, imbalance, the relationship between space and movement, with attention to theatrical gesture and sign aimed at going beyond the boundaries of genre.
