The Italian Consulate in Izmir is taking part in the “Terra Madre Anatolia” event, which, for the first time, is being held in Izmir, Turkey, from 2 to 11 September, as part of the Izmir International Fair, in collaboration with Slow Food and Izmir municipality.
Just like the “Terra Madre” event that takes place in Turin every year, the purpose is to increase the use of sustainable agriculture and to develop a food production that connects all those who actively take part in the food supply and distribution chain.
The Italian Consulate in Izmir has set up a stand to distribute the graphic material and videos prepared for the last editions of the Week of Italian Cuisine, in order to promote local food production and to give due value to quality agri-food products. The Consulate also organised three cooking shows/meetings with Michelin Star chef Cristina Bowerman, the renowned host of Master Chef Türkiye Danilo Zanna and Eataly Istanbul chef Claudio Chinali.
