Buenos Aires presentazione della Settimana della Cucina Italiana
Buenos Aires presentazione della Settimana della Cucina Italiana

The event presenting the 7th edition of the Week of Italian Cuisine in the World, an annual initiative promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, was held at the Italian Embassy in Buenos Aires. This year’s edition will take place from 14 to 20 November. The theme is “Conviviality, Sustainability and Innovation: the ingredients of Italian cuisine for people’s health and the protection of the planet”.

With the participation of important Italian and Argentinian guests from the world of business, culture and gastronomy, the event, organized in collaboration with the Buenos Aires Italian Chefs Association (BACI), was presented by Chef Donato De Santis, who explained the relationship of Roman cuisine with the territory and the history of Rome through its typical dishes and products.

The title of this year’s edition of the Week of Italian Cuisine in the World is in fact closely linked to the topic of the Italian candidacy of Rome to host the Expo 2030: “People and Territories: urban regeneration, inclusion and innovation”, which aims to focus on new solutions, ideas and strategies to jointly address the challenges of the present, such as the sustainability of urban agglomerations and inclusiveness, imagining new ways of living and experiencing cities.

You can follow the many initiatives organized by the Italian diplomatic and consular network and the Italian Cultural Institutes in Argentina – together with the Italian Foreign Trade Agency (ITA), the Italian Tourist Board (ENIT), and all the actors of Sistema Italia – as part of the Week of Italian Cuisine in the World, on social media with the hashtag #ItalianTaste.
