The Week of Italian Cuisine in the World, this year at its seventh edition, was also celebrated in Thailand. Italian Ambassador Paolo Dionisi inaugurated several public food and wine tasting events at the EmQuartier shopping mall in Bangkok with the participation of more than thirty Italian restaurants and importers of Italian products.
The programme also included cooking masterclasses, food-pairing, wine tastings and cooking shows by the ALMA School and Italian restaurants, and musical performances by Thai and Italian musicians and the “Food Heroes” virtual exhibition at the EmQuartier, which was developed to show some of the emblematic success stories of virtuous personalities in Italy’s food and wine sector in terms of sustainability, artisanship, and quality. To celebrate the Week, the Italian Embassy and the ICE office in Bangkok organised several cooking shows and presentations of Italian products in other malls in the Thai capital, including at the Central World – Central Food Retail, advanced cooking courses at the ALMA School, and launched the “Super Premium Italian Hampers” campaign of The Mall – Gourmet Market.
Lastly, the Italo-Thai Chamber of Commerce-certified “Italian Hospitality” Italian restaurants in Bangkok offered special menus created by Italian Chefs for the Week of Italian Cuisine in the World.
