Portogallo, undicesimo Ciclo di Conferenze sulle Relazioni Luso-Italiane
Portogallo, undicesimo Ciclo di Conferenze sulle Relazioni Luso-Italiane

The eleventh Lecture Series on Luso-Italian Relations – an initiative launched in 2011 on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the Unification of Italy and dedicated this year to the vast Italian heritage in Portugal – ended yesterday with an event at the Residence of the Italian Ambassador in Lisbon, Carlo Formosa,

Thanks to the work of the organisers, namely Prof. Nunziatella Alessandrini, Prof. Mariagrazia Russo and Prof. Gaetano Sabatini, and the support of the Embassy and the Church of Our Lady of Loreto, as well as local institutions, over the years the Lecture Series has contributed to deepening the study and dialogue on some central issues of the relations between Italy and Portugal, including history, art, music, literature, religion and economics.

Through the collaborations developed between Italian and Portuguese scholars, the eleven lecture series have given rise to nine volumes collecting over one hundred articles dedicated to Luso-Italian relations, thus testifying to the proximity and close ties that have developed and strengthened between the two countries over the centuries.
