The eighth edition of Filming Italy – Los Angeles will take place from 28 February to 3 March 2023 in Los Angeles, in collaboration with APA (Audiovisual Producers Association) and under the auspices of the Consulate General of Italy in Los Angeles.

Created and organised by Tiziana Rocca, Agnus Dei and the Italian Cultural Institute of Los Angeles, Filming Italy – Los Angeles not only promotes Italy as a movie set and a bridge between Italian and American culture, but also supports Italy’s cultural growth through its cinema and the internationalisation of Italian audiovisual products, as well as intercultural relations between various directors, producers and artists.

Giancarlo Giannini will be among the protagonists of this edition. The great actor will be presented with the Filming Italy Achievement Award on the evening of 3 March, while on 6 March there will be a ceremony for the laying of the Star dedicated to him – the 16th Italian one – on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Other Festival guests include Susanna Nicchiarelli, Matilda De Angelis, Tom Ellis, Tembi Locke, Nina Zilli, Joanne Frogatt, Jimmy Akingbola, Nida Khurshid, Jeremy Piven, Salvatore Esposito, Paolo Genovese, Riccardo Scamarcio and Diane Warren. Numerous talents will also be involved in the masterclasses, including Claudia Gerini, Sabrina Impacciatore, Antonio Albanese, Riccardo Milani, Aldo, Giovanni e Giacomo, Abel Ferrara and Emma Marrone.

Filming Italy – Los Angeles 2023, dedicated to the memory of Gina Lollobrigida, offers a programme of over 60 titles, including films, TV series, released and unreleased docufilms, and short films. The Festival will be held half live and half digitally (on the streaming platform MyMovies.it).
