The Consulate General of Italy in Cordoba, Argentina, presents the permanent exhibition “Paesaggi d’Italia-Caminando por Italia”, curated by Italian-Argentine painter Matilde Hubaide.

The exhibition covers some of Italy’s most emblematic cities and places, such as Venice, Genoa or Piazza Superiore di San Francesco in Assisi, as portrayed by the artist during her numerous trips to Italy. The exhibition enriches the Consulate’s waiting room and will therefore be visible to the people who daily access these premises to use consular services. The exhibition is part of the “Italia Lidera” cycle, in which Matilde Hubaide had already taken part in 2022, which aims at spreading the Italian spirit and the influence of Italy in culture, art, economy, cuisine and science.

All the works on display were generously donated to the Consulate by the painter, who said during the inauguration: “These drawings were made in Italy and are now returning to Italy so that the public can experience these wonderful places, albeit through images, and feel like they are visiting them.”
