The Consulate of Italy in Detroit and the Education Office of the Consulate General of Italy in Chicago in collaboration with the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) present the Workshop “Italiano in Verde. La sostenibilità nella Classe di Italiano” (Italian in Green. Sustainability in the Italian Classroom), scheduled for 20 April.

During the Workshop, Chiara Trebaiocchi, Senior Preceptor and Coordinator of the Italian Language Programme at Harvard University, will present concrete insights and methodological reflections on the topic of environmental, social and cultural sustainability in Italian language courses.

The Workshop focuses on the “Italiano in Verde” course, designed with an interdisciplinary educational approach and entirely devoted to sustainability, with the aim of strengthening the cultural awareness and critical thinking of students learning Italian while at the same time effectively improving their knowledge of the language.
