On the occasion of the Art Week New York, from 5 to 10 September, the Italian Cultural Institute presents “Golden Age”, the exhibition featuring works of art and design objects, realised by Officina della Scala to outline the virtuosity of Made in Italy’s handicraft and the sustainability it represents worldwide.
The exhibited works will include pieces made with precious materials and refined wood species, some from the famous architect Franco Albini, awarded the Compasso d’Oro (Golden Compass) and considered the “father” of Italian design.
Officina della Scala is a group led by Giorgio Pozzi. For over 40 years, it has promoted art, culture, design and Made in Italy worldwide. Thanks to its broad network of designers, architects, engineers, craftsmen and selected businesses, the company designs and builds housing solutions, buildings and living spaces. Its works are unconventional as they take distance from the traditional rules of industrial production to become unique elements combining craftsman expertise and techniques enhancing the finest materials.
