The Italian Embassy in Canada presented a chamber music concert by the Accademia dei Cameristi Trio Tedesco-Piccotti-Consonni at the Carleton Dominion-Chalmers Centre in Ottawa.
In front of an audience of almost three hundred people, the young and talented Italian musicians, violinist Fabiola Tedesco, cellist Erica Piccotti and pianist Martina Consonni performed a programme entitled “Musica tra antico e nuovo mondo” (Music between the Old and the New World) with compositions by Alfredo Casella, Leonard Bernstein and Giuseppe Martucci.
Also on display for the occasion were some of the most representative photographs from the “Benfatto” exhibition on Italian craftsmanship, made available and promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in collaboration with Confartigianato, which shows the beauty, creativity, quality and modernity of Italian know-how in the goldsmithing, furnishing, agrifood, fashion and innovation sectors.
