Ambassador Fabio Messineo took part in the inauguration of a large, well-equipped artistic-technological school block in La Paz, in the Munaypata district, intended to serve the local educational unit of the Don Bosco Schools network, a great testimony of Italian-Bolivian friendship.
The work, which has been completed in just one year, was financed largely by the Diocese of Bergamo and was named after Monsignor Eugenio Scarpellini, a missionary from Bergamo and former Bishop of El Alto, who recently passed away.
Among other things, the new school block is a tangible sign of the great contribution that numerous missionaries and lay people from Bergamo have made since 1962 in the service of Bolivia’s most vulnerable population.
