The Ambassador of Italy to Poland, Luca Franchetti Pardo, today met with the new Marshal (President) of the Senate of the Republic of Poland, Małgorzata Kidawa – Błońska.
The meeting offered an opportunity to address issues of common interest. Firstly, the excellent state of Italy-Poland bilateral relations at the political, economic and cultural levels.
Ambassador Franchetti Pardo underlined how Italy’s role as guest of honour at next May’s International Book Fair represented a precious opportunity to promote Italian culture in Poland, especially among young people. The meeting also allowed a useful discussion on the most pressing European issues and on support for Ukraine.
Finally, Ambassador Franchetti Pardo and Marshal Małgorzata Kidawa – Błońska agreed on the importance of further strengthening inter-parliamentary dialogue.
