The Consulate General of Italy in London continues its commitment to enhancing and promoting Italian excellence abroad by hosting an exclusive event dedicated to Carmen Consoli and her new recording project. The Sicilian singer-songwriter adds a new stage to the artistic journey of Terra ca nun senti, an album that continues to strengthen her presence on the international music scene.
After being released on double vinyl record, Terra ca nun senti will also be available in digital format on 7 February 2025, making the live album available worldwide. To celebrate this important milestone, the Consulate General is organising an exclusive showcase at the prestigious Britten Theatre, inside the Royal College of Music in London. The event, reserved for the press, music professionals and students of the Royal College of Music’s conservatory, will offer a unique opportunity to listen live to some songs from the album and learn more about Carmen Consoli’s artistic project. The choice of the Britten Theatre, with its intimate and evocative atmosphere, reflects the attention to quality and emotion that characterises the singer-songwriter’s productions.
Thanks to the collaboration between the Consulate General of Italy in London and London One Radio, the event’s media partner, the concert will be broadcast live audio in the UK and Italy, thus allowing an even wider audience to enjoy it.
The event will be preceded – on the afternoon of 7 February – by a talk, again at the Britten Theatre, organised by the Consulate General of Italy in London and featuring Carmen Consoli, Classic FM English radio presenter Sam Pittis, and Rolling Stone Italia journalist Filippo Ferrari. The talk will delve into the singer-songwriter’s career, her wide-ranging cultural and musical background, her many international hits and, obviously, her latest album Terra ca nun senti.
After the talk, there will be interviews with the press and media that have already confirmed their participation in the event, thus showing growing interest in the contribution that Italy continues to provide to the global cultural and musical scene.
With this initiative, the Consulate General of Italy in London renews its commitment to supporting and promoting great Italian talent, strengthening the cultural link between Italy and the UK through music and art.
