Il Maeci al Meeting di Rimini 2025

For the seventh consecutive year, the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) will participate in the Meeting for Friendship Among Peoples with a major pavilion entitled “No Crisis Is Far Away”. The exhibition space will showcase the commitment of MAECI and its partners in responding to crises and humanitarian emergencies, supporting local communities and Italian citizens in need of assistance.

The pavilion will guide visitors through a clear, engaging and evocative journey illustrating the key phases of humanitarian response: “Initial Emergency”, with a focus on humanitarian transport; “Emergency” and the response to “protracted crises”; “Post-Emergency”, highlighting actions aimed at building peace and development, and preventing future crises. The exhibition will also feature initiatives implemented by Italian Cooperation and by international, European and civil society organisations that partner with MAECI in various crisis and conflict scenarios. Among them: the Red Cross, Intersos, the Italian and European Civil Protection, and ECHO.

At the heart of the pavilion, a full-scale reconstruction of the MAECI Crisis Unit Operations Room (UdC) will allow visitors to experience a typical day at the Crisis Unit through interactive simulations and first-hand accounts of field operations. All visitors who register for entry to the Rimini Fair via the Meeting App will also be able to access and download the “Viaggiare Sicuri” App, making it easy to register their travel abroad directly from their mobile devices.
The MAECI pavilion will also host a space dedicated to the United Nations World Food Programme, a key partner of Italian Cooperation in various crisis settings – especially in the Italian humanitarian initiative Food For Gaza.

In the international pavilion, visitors will also find an interactive installation on the climate crisis for children, curated by Save the Children Italia; a talk area for debates and events hosted by international cooperation partners; and a selection of artworks from the Farnesina Collection, featured in the exhibition Identity Beyond Borders.
MAECI’s participation in Rimini is once again held in collaboration with the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS), AVSI, CIHEAM Bari, and TORCHA, which will act as media partner.
