The event dedicated to the 1000 Miglia, a true symbol of Italian excellence, was a resounding success at the Swiss Museum of Transport in Lucerne. The initiative, promoted by the Consulate General of Italy in Zurich, together with the Italian Cultural Institute and ITA – the Agency for the promotion and internationalisation of companies – offered the Swiss and international public an extraordinary immersive experience in historic Italian motoring, with a photography exhibition and a parade of over thirty vintage cars.

The event enhanced the history of the famous race and Italy’s cultural, technological, and creative heritage. The vehicles on display embodied the combination of design, innovation, craftsmanship, and engineering that has made the Italian automobile a global benchmark, evoking the epic story of the 1000 Miglia and its connection to the landscape and culture of travel.

The photography exhibition – open until June 30 – guides visitors through historic pictures, Italian views, and iconic moments from the race, celebrating one of the absolute legends of motorsport.

The event confirmed the Swiss public’s strong interest in Italy and its excellence, strengthening the friendship and collaboration between the two countries.
