The project “C.S.I. Preludio: Ferretti/Zamboni – The Journey Starts, Across the Mongolian Steppes and Beijing Skylines” has come to an end. It featured one of the most iconic acts in Italian alternative music – Giovanni Lindo Ferretti and Massimo Zamboni, accompanied by the band Lostatobrado – performing in Mongolia and China. The initiative (conceived and organised by the cultural association Triplosound and the company Mad.e Srl) was organised by the Italian Cultural Institute in Beijing and the Embassy of Italy in Mongolia, in collaboration with the Embassy of Italy in China and with the support of the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ater Fondazione.
The tour kicked off on 4 July with a performance at the Playtime Festival in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia’s most important music festival. The presence of the C.S.I. provided an opportunity to promote Italian music to an international audience and served as a forum for cultural dialogue between Italy and Mongolia.
The second event took place on 6 July at the Auditorium of the Italian Cultural Institute in Beijing. At the end of the performance, Giovanni Lindo Ferretti, Massimo Zamboni and the members of Lostatobrado met with the audience, helping to reinforce the value of the initiative as an opportunity to promote Italian culture and language in China.
The project serves as a prelude to the international tour scheduled for 2027, the year in which C.S.I. will reunite for a series of concerts.
The journey was filmed by the production company Damocle, which, with a crew led by Davide Ferrario, documented the stops in Mongolia and China. The material will be compiled into a film dedicated to this artistic and personal journey, bearing witness to the cultural and international significance of the initiative and to the dialogue between Italy and Asia through music.
