The Mattei Plan for Africa is the national strategy promoted by the Italian Government to create opportunities, benefits and shared development in relations with African nations and peoples.
The Plan supports Africa’s sustainable and lasting development through joint projects and investment capable of addressing the concrete priorities of its peoples.
The strategy strengthens Italy’s role as a bridge between Europe and Africa and as a driving force for dialogue between the Global North and South, also thanks to synergies with the United Nations, the European Union, the African Union, the G7 and international financial institutions.
