On the evening of June 11, the third event in the series of contemporary art installations curated by Marcello Farabegoli, Contamination #3, was held at the Embassy of Italy in Vienna. The works of the two artists Flavia Bigi and Maria Cristina Finucci were exhibited alongside those of Cristina Fiorenza and Esther Stocker, protagonists of the previous “Contamination” exhibitions.

The event began with a greeting from Ambassador Giovanni Pugliese, who thanked curator Marcello Farabegoli and artists Flavia Bigi and Maria Cristina Finucci for their valuable work. Recalling past editions, the Ambassador also highlighted the strong cultural ties between Italy and Austria.

The curator then introduced the artists, describing their work and artistic style. Flavia Bigi draws inspiration from the interactions between essential forms, while Maria Cristina Finucci explores the “destiny” of plastic in the sea through a process that simulates its fragmentation and transformation.

In conclusion, guests were able to admire the works from the three editions in the Embassy’s rooms and engage in a dialogue with the artists.
