Foreign Minister Giulio Terzi has firmly condemned the attack on the United States diplomatic mission in Sanaa, where the intervention of the local security forces responsible for protecting the Embassy saw order restored.
Italy firmly supports the political and institutional transition process being conducted in a framework of national dialogue in Yemen. Our country will not fail in its support for the Yemeni Government in combating the terrorist forces. Forces which, with their brutal violence, seek to boycott the institutional consolidation process in view of the elections scheduled to take place in 2014.
