To celebrate International Women’s Day, the Italian Embassy in Maputo promoted a concert by flautist Francesca Canali and the “Maputo Flute Orchestra”. The concert, which attracted an audience of 350, took place at the University of Maputo’s “Eduardo Mondlane” Cultural Centre.
The concert followed four days of intensive lessons by the Italian flautist to train the musicians. This successful project is an important element of the cultural exchange initiatives promoted by the Italian Embassy in recent years. This year’s programme will continue with the Italian Film Festival, which will run from 26 to 30 March in Maputo. Read full article, in Italian
