Addis Abeba: Recital by soprano Anna Casale and pianist Nicolò Iucolano

The Italian Cultural Institute in Addis Ababa has staged “Il tempo felice del canto – When Singing Came Easy,” a recital by soprano Anna Casale and pianist Nicolò Iucolano. The performance took place on Thursday 19 April 2012 in the Institute’s auditorium.


The duo’s repertoire includes some of the most important chapters of Italian vocal music, from Monteverdi to Rossini, and from Verdi to Respighi.


Anna Casale is a young soprano who has performed the lead role in operas such as Puccini’s la Boheme and Donizetti’s Elisir d’amore. Maestro Nicolò Iucolano has a profound knowledge of Liszt and Bartok, teaches at the Latina Conservatory and has worked in countries such as Japan, France and Spain.
