Quicker passports for Italians abroad

Less bureaucracy and waiting time for to Italians who need a passport issued abroad: starting on 6 June, a new computerized system will reduce the waiting time from the current 15 to 30 days to just a few minutes, according to an announcement by Ministry spokesman Giuseppe Manzo during his weekly press briefing.

A procedure that simplifies life for Italian nationals and that also reduces the time needed to check data and obtain information from the Interior ministry and relay it to the authorities who issue the actual passport.
