“Throne of the Queen of Sheba” is the title of an exhibit running through 13 January 2013 at Rome’s “Giuseppe Tucci” National Museum of Oriental Art. Organised in collaboration with the Italian Archaeological Mission in Yemen and Monumenta Orientalia, this is the first exhibition ever of the objects collected in Yemen between 1929 and 1939 by Italian doctors working in various hospitals in that country following the signing of the Cooperation and Friendship Accord of 2 September 1926 by Imam Yahya and the Governor of Eritrea Jacopo Gasparini.
