An exhibition opened yesterday in Beirut of 60 examples of machines designed by Leonardo da Vinci. The machines, built by skilled Italian artisans following the artist’s drawings and models and sent over to the Middle East, are divided into four categories: transport, war, mechanics and entertainment and are interactive so as to allow students to discover how they work. The show runs through 7 December.
