Poland: Wratislavia Cantans festival celebrates Italy

To be held from 6 to 15 September 2013, the 48th edition of the Wratislavia Cantans International Baroque Music Festival, one of Poland’s most important and prestigious events, will be dedicated to a “Journey through Italy”. A press conference for its presentation was held at the Warsaw Italian Cultural Institute, where Italian ambassador to Poland Riccardo Guariglia, festival Director Andrzej Kosendiak, and Polish Deputy Minister for Culture Magorzata Omilanowska attended. In addition to Italy as its choice of theme, the festival’s artistic direction has also been given this year to Italian orchestra conductor Giovanni Antonini. Read more, in Italian.
