The “Green Awards” is an initiative sponsored by the Lebanese Ministry of the Environment and the UNDP, in collaboration with the magazine “Beyond” that rewards organizations that embrace innovative proposals within the context environmental concerns. A project financed by the Italian government (€2.5 million) for integrated solid waste management in the province of Baalbek was recognized by the Lebanese ministry as a pioneering one in the field of environmental protection.
