GUATEMALA – Italian business opportunities with Central American and Caribbean Games, 2018

Quetzaltenango, Guatemala’s second city, offers interesting opportunities for Italian businesses. The point was made by our Ambassador to Guatemala, Fabrizio Pignatelli, recently returned from a visit to the region, where he met the governor, mayor and archbishop, as well as members of the Italian community. The Ambassador took part in a round table on the regional economy organised by local business organisations at Rafael Landivar University. The region’s development potential includes planned infrastructure projects (road and airports), not least since Quetzaltenango will be hosting the Central American and Caribbean Games in 2018.
