WASHINGTON – Oscar-winning costumes – a tribute to italian craftsmanship

Italy’s unique gift for creating Oscar-winning costumes and wigs is being showcased at the “Star Wigs – La Mano Italiana Crea” exhibition running at the Italian Embassy in Washington until 6 May 2013. On show will be costumes from Marie Antoinette by Sofia Coppola, Il Gattopardo by Visconti, Casanova by Fellini and Barbarella by Roger Vadim, alongside wigs worn by Nicole Kidman in Moulin Rouge and Liz Taylor in Cleopatra. The exhibition is part of the Year of Italian Culture in the US. Read more, in Italian.
