Islamabad too is celebrating the 200th anniversary of the birth of Giuseppe Verdi, with the screening of the Arturo Toscanini orchestra’s performance of Nabucco conducted by Daniel Oren. The event, which took place in the new Italian Embassy building in the diplomatic enclave, confirms Pakistan’s interest in a stronger Italian cultural presence in the country. Read more, in Italian.
