Italian students in NY for cultural exchange

A group of Italian women students completed a cultural exchange programme in New York run by the National Organization of Italian American Women (NOIAW)in collaboration with the Foreign Ministry.


In alternate years the programme hosts Italian women in New York and American women in Rome.


Six Architecture students and one in History of Art


This year, six students of Architecture and one of History of Art had the chance to meet successful professionals such as Frank Sciame of the FJ Sciame Construction Co., Sara Matiz of Matiz Architecture & Design, Maria Teresa Cometto, journalist and author of ‘Tech and The City’, judge Angela M. Mazzarelli, lawyer Maria Vullo and Columbia University professor Cristina Matera


Among the students’ experiences in New York, they were welcomed by Consul General of Italy Natalia Quintavalle, and met Italo_american students who had participated in previous cultural exchanges. The programme concluded with a stay at President of NOIAW Betty Santangelo’s home on the Hamptons, where they were joined by other members of the organization.
