Israel: Mekorot to collaborate with ACEA in water sector
ACEA and the Israeli national water company, Mekorot, have signed a memorandum of understanding to collaborate in the water resources sector. The two companies will exchange ideas and expertise in the treatment of waste water, in seeking common solutions for innovation and increased efficiency in the operation of drinking-water systems, and in studying solutions for the protection and security of water supplies.
Today’s agreement also includes cooperation in the treatment of waste-water sludge and knowledge-sharing in the waste-incineration sector. ACEA and Mekorot will also evaluate the possibility of joint support for the development and experimentation of advanced technologies in the sectors covered by the agreement.
