An ever-greener ministry with ‘Project No Fax’

The ministry is pursuing its pledge to go “green” by making a more effective use of resources, which means energy savings and a lower environmental impact. The ministry has made the necessary adaptations for the “No Fax” project, aimed at eliminating the use of this form of communication between government institutions.

New Certified EMail software

The foreign ministry has now made it possible for the diplomatic-consular network to use Certified Email for the submission of documents to other public administrations that were previously submitted by fax. The project was completed in advance of its deadline.

Project ‘Quid noctis’

The project ‘Quid noctis’ operates along the same lines, involving the centralised shut-down of the ministry’s computers, and its March 2013 launch included nearly 2,000 units.
