EXPO – International participants now number 141

The international presence at Milan’s EXPO 2015 is growing, with Bosnia and Poland’s confirmation bringing the number of participants signing up to 141. The success of the initiative can be explained by the efforts of “System Italy” as a whole, led by the Farnesina and its diplomatic network, which are supporting the EXPO in all of our country’s missions abroad and in international fora.

“Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life”

The theme of the event, “Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life”, has proved to be a great inspiration. EXPO Milano 2015 is fuelling the international debate on how to provide healthy, safe and sufficient food and asking each participating country to use its pavilion to propose effective solutions in a sustainable development perspective. In the meantime, the EXPO advert has made its debut on Italian broadcasting networks to showcase the themes and opportunities of the Exposition. As the advert says, the event will be “Made of Italians” and its central theme will, of course, be nutrition.
