DEI/Sole 24 Ore – Italy: Roadshow for SME internationalisation sets off from Biella

A road show for the internationalisation of small enterprises, making stops in 18 Italian cities and involving hundreds of small enterprises, will start off on 27 January from Biella. The initiative has been made possible by synergies between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Economic Development, ICE_Agenzia, SACE, SIMEST, Confindustria, Unioncamere, Rete Imprese Italia and Alleanze delle Cooperative Italiane. The aim is to contact small and medium sized enterprises with a potential to internationalise but that have thus far been unable to do so. Indeed, over 70,000 businesses will be contacted that, although they do have something to offer to foreign markets, export only occasionally or not at all. Another goal is to increase Italy’s showing in more dynamic markets where a rapidly increasing demand would be capable of absorbing a growing quotient of our products. The road show aims to reach those businesses where they operate in order to illustrate the advantages and opportunities of distant but dynamic markets where Italian products are appreciated and in demand, as well as the public and private instruments that work in support of internationalisation.
