All international policy activities concerning science and technology could be grouped under the heading “Science Diplomacy”. But what is this complex activity all about and what role do the diplomats of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs play in this increasingly important sector? The 19th segment of “Diplomazia e dintorni”, which airs on Tuesday 11 March, will be dedicated to illustrating and examining the tools and mechanisms by which “science diplomacy” takes place.
Stefano Baldo and his guest, Alessandra Pastorelli, who works in the foreign ministry’s Scientific and Technological Cooperation Unit, will guide listeners toward the discovery of this little known sector of diplomatic activity.
