Geneva – ‘Ferite a morte’ performance on 26 March

A performance of “Ferite a Morte”, written by Serena Dandini with the collaboration of Maura Misiti, will be held at the Palais des Nations in Geneva on 26 March in coincidence with the 25th session of the Human Rights Council. The Assembly Hall will echo with the monologues of female victims of domestic violence read by an international selection of celebrated women: Navi Pillay, Cecile Kyenge, Doris Schopper, Carla Del Ponte, Maria Grazia Cucinotta, Lara Gut, Kate James, Mimma Viglezio, Fabiola Gianotti, Ada Marra, Esther Mamarbachi, Elen Ringier, Petula Clark, Nelly Staderini, Laura Bates and Kajori Masse’-Basu, joined by the authors themselves.


Other performances


Organisers of the event include the Italian and Swiss Permanent Missions to the United Nations, Cultura Italia Sans Frontieres, the Italian Cultural Institute of Zurich and the United Nations Women Guild (Unwg).


The theatrical spectacle was also staged on 25 November in New York on the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, followed by performances in Washington, Brussels and London.
