Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs Mario Giro expressed deep satisfaction for the willingness toward dialogue shown yesterday in Caracas by the government and Mesa de la Unidad (MUD) opposition representatives. On his latest mission to Venezuela from 2 to 4 April, the under-secretary had the opportunity, both with the ministers with whom he met as well as with the MUD coordinator, to underscore “Italy’s strong support for the development of dialogue”.
Italy’s support
Italy, Giro said, “will continue to lend its support to all the forces of the government and opposition in overcoming the current difficulties, while also ensuring its full support for UNASUR efforts to facilitate dialogue in Venezuela”.
