Bolivia: Italian exports rising as local economy grows

Italy’s national statistics office (ISTAT) figures for Italian-Bolivian trade in 2013 confirm the upwards trend seen in 2012. Italian exports rose by 30.8% to 97.43 million euros, while our imports from Bolivia saw a 111.5% increase to 64.4 million euros.

This unbroken upwards trend in trade over the last decade, for which 2013 saw the biggest rise, also reflects Bolivia’s economic growth. Nearly all of the goods imported to the country are in the machinery sector, as might be expected given the industrialisation of the Bolivian economy. The country’s main exports are food, mineral and textile raw materials. Source: infoMercatiEsteri.
