Maestro Vladimir Spivakov, renowned Russian violinist and conductor, has been awarded the “Star of Italy” honour at a ceremony at the Italian Embassy in Moscow. The honour was awarded by the President of the Republic, Giorgio Napolitano, for Spivakov’s work “in developing Italian-Russian relations in the cultural, and most notably the musical, sphere”, as Ambassador Cesare Maria Ragaglini explained at the ceremony.
