Focus on bilateral scientific cooperation

The mission, which was analogous to those recently carried out in the Brazilian States of Bahia and Paraná, and that followed on a visit to the State in October 2013 by Italian ambassador to Brazil RaffaeleTrombetta, set up meetings at the Trade Federation, the Tecnopuc technology park, the State secretariats for economic development, infrastructure and logistics. Our embassy also joined the industrialists’ federation in organising a seminar on business opportunities in the region. The mission devoted special attention to increased bilateral scientific cooperation, in the context of which Italian businesses visited the technology park in order to explore opportunities for collaboration with the local research institute.
