China – 17th century Rome on show in Beijing

“Roma/Seicento: verso il Barocco” is the title of an exhibition just opened in the National Museum in Beijing’s Tiananmen Square as part of the Italian-Chinese memorandum of understanding on promoting the cultural heritage. The event, which will run until February 2015, includes about 50 works by Rome’s museums and churches. A programme of events focusing on the Baroque has been organised to coincide with the exhibition, with was organised in collaboration with our Embassy and the Italian Cultural Institute in Beijing.
