The Italian Foreign Ministry is carefully monitoring the Ebola virus epidemic on the African continent, and has responsed to the World Health Organization’s appeal to donors with a contribution of 200,000 euros for Guinea. With the worsening of the situation on a regional scale, further Italian interventions in coordination with the WHO and the other countries of the European Union are being examined.

The Ministry’s Crisis Unit is has also been working with the Embassies of Abidjan and Dakar to send out e-mail alerts with practical advice to Italian nationals in the countries affected.
