Crisis Management Unit evacuates 12 young Italians from Tonj

The Foreign Ministry’s Crisis Management Unit, in cooperation with the Italian Embassy in Nairobi, has evacuated from Tonj 12 young Italians, including three minors, engaged in a development aid project South Sudan. The 12 youths were flown this morning from Tonj to Juba, from where they travelled on to Nairobi on another flight organized by the Crisis Management Unit. In Nairobi the young Italians were taken to the Italian Embassy, which will assist them until their departure back to Italy.
