The opening ceremony of TechItaly2014, the Italian hi-tech programme dedicated to investment in technological innovation, has taken place at the European Parliament.
The first session, entitled “H2020: Transforming Global Challenges in Opportunities for Growth”, focused on important issues for the Italian and European hi-tech industries, such as cyber-security, raw materials and the impact of demographic change. The second session, which will coincide with the Agriculture Council on 11 November 2014, will examine the issue of food security, with EXPO Milan 2015 in mind. The third will focus on the role of technology in restoring and enhancing the cultural heritage. And the fourth, and last, session will be dedicated to the issue of innovative infrastructure for growth in the transport, energy and research sectors.
