The first Italian language course was successfully launched at Oman’s Sultan Qaboos University in Mascate, the country’s largest. Two course sections were needed to accommodate the enthusiastic student response, with a total of 58 enrolling just a week after the course was announced. Italian ambassador Paola Amadei commented that “it is legitimate to presume that enrolments will rise and that, in addition to beginner courses, we will be adding intermediate and advanced ones in the future”.
