The Italcementi Group has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Egyptian Minster for Investment, Ashraf Salman, to develop a 320 MW wind farm in the Red Sea region. The agreement also envisages innovative projects for the use of alternative fuels for the production of cement by the Suez Cement Group of Companies (Italcementi Group).
The first stage of the wind farm (120 MW) will see an investment of 200 million dollars. The civil engineering works will be completed in the coming months, with the installation of the turbines to follow. Source: infoMercatiEsteri
