The 2014 edition of Italian Language Week in Caracas was a very “rich” one, beginning with the opening of the photographic exhibition “Orinoco fra miti e leggende” by journalist Gianfranco Di Giacomantonio at the Italian Cultural Institute, which sponsored the show with the support of our embassy in Venezuela. The date was chosen to commemorate the discovery of America, and the evening event included the screening of a documentary the journalist made en route to Canaima and his encounter with the Waraos civilization.
