On Saturday 29 November a delegation of European Union, Associated and NATO Country Member ambassadors visited the Palazzo Aeronautica in Rome. The idea was conceived by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Air Force, and falls within the context of the fruitful collaboration between the foreign and defence ministries.
The delegation was received by the Air Force Chief of Staff, Air Squadron General Pasquale Preziosa and Head of the Diplomatic Protocol of State Minister Plenipotentiary Riccardo Gueriglia. During a briefing by Chief of Staff under-secretary Air Squadron Paolo Magro and Deputy Director for Security, Disarmament and Non-proliferation Minister Plenipotentiary Giovanni Brauzzi, the Air Force’s main collaborative activities with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, both under a military profile as well as humanitarian, were presented.
The guests were then taken on a tour of the Palazzo, an historic building from the 1920s designed by architect Roberto Marino to celebrate the birth of the Italian Air Force.
